    Throughout history there have been evidence to illustrate the point that intelligence alone does not turn individual to extraordinary achievers, but success comes to those who are courageous enough to do things that others will not even dare to think of. This is why you might have a high-school dropout earn far beyond the salary of an economics teacher, not because he’s more able but he is bold enough to live a riskier lifestyle than relying on a guaranteed monthly salary.

    Throughout the Bible there are stories of individuals with sky-high confidence, those who subdued territories, for example, David who killed Goliath the giant to Moses who freed the Israelites out of slavery from Egypt. Although these great men were all men of faith, they still had to demonstrate boldness in their pursuit of victory.

    Is it possible to develop sky-high confidence? Of course it is, and here are ten ways to help you believe in your God-given abilities:

    1. Challenge your fears.

    Don’t wait for your fear to disappear before you attempt to do what you are afraid of, what you are afraid of will only subside the more you face it. Remind yourself the more you challenge your fears the smaller it becomes.

    Remind yourself that all the rewards are out of your comfort zone. Gaining clarity over what you aim to achieve will give you the drive to take action beyond your comfort zone. Albert Einstein said, Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. So we should be encouraged to change our approach until we reach our expected end.

    Train your mind to focus on the positive aspects in life instead of the negative. Whenever you find yourself dwelling on a disempowering thought, refocus yourself to think empowering thoughts. Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.

    Learn to make decisions for yourself; making choices without relying on others’ opinions is vital in your inner-confidence growth. Practicing on coming to your conclusion will help you not be dependable on others before making choices. The more you rely on others to make decisions the less you believe in your own abilities. Your brain is an amazing tool to help you navigate life.

    1. See yourself lager than your fears.

    Understand your original self, on how God created you to be a victor not a victim, a winner not a looser. In Genesis 1:26 God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” This scripture clearly states that you were born to rule on earth not to be subdued. Genesis 1:28 says, God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Once you understand how awesomely you were created it’s easy to do exploit.

    Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Many of those who accomplished great things in the world have applied this principle. For example, legendary boxing champion Muhammad Ali who said, “I am the greatest, I said that even before I knew I was.”

    You can set yourself a daily challenge to do something you are afraid to do, even if you are not emotionally up for it. Being consistent in this habit challenge will gradually transform you into the bold person you desire to be.

    1. Mistakes are part of your growth.

    The difference between the successful and the unsuccessful person is that the successful person has made far more mistakes, taken on far more rejections and climbed beyond obstacles, whereas those who are less accomplished are too busy occupied with seeking perfection.

    Ecclesiastes 11: 4 – Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.

    Write down all the things you could miss out in your life if you don’t live a courageous life. For example if you are too shy to talk to a girl, but desire to meet your life partner, if you don’t summon up the nerves to approach and speak to the opposite sex you will experience difficulties in finding your potential wife. Consider all the pain you will have if you do not take the necessary efforts to reach your desired outcome. This exercise will motivate you to live more courageously.

    1. Observe and learn from those you admire.

    Find out someone who possesses the confidence you admire and make a challenge to mimic their behaviour pattern. Many people have found it easier to act like someone else instead of being an improved self.

    1. Allow boldness to be your new identity.

    Treat your transformation from timid to bold persona gradually, remind yourself that it’s not a sprint but a marathon. If day-by-day, you slowly come out your comfort zone, your new found confidence will appear more natural and you will not be overwhelmed in the process.

    1. Keep a feedback journal.

    Write down and evaluate your new bold action steps each day in your personal feedback journal. Keeping track will help you remain focused on your journey and monitor your personal progression. Lastly within your feedback journal write down the benefits you received from taken a bold action, for example how you felt or what response you received.

    1. Say empowering affirmation every morning.

    Powerful affirmation is a great way to reshape your beliefs, for example if you wake up feeling like a looser, wake up and repeat affirmations like “I am a success”, “I am successful because I keep on going no matter if someone says yes or no because I know I will get the perfect yes.

    1. Every NO you receive gets you closer to a YES.

    Many people fail to reach their God given potential because they are too afraid to ask for what they want out of the fear of rejection. Wall Street brokers don’t look at rejection that way, they believe that every No you get, gets you closer to a Yes, even if they are rejected 100 times in a row from cold calling business prospect, they do not allow that to detour them because they’ve condition their mind that in order to achieve success you must be willing to do what others are not. It’s the norm within the stock broker environment to make up to 300 phone calls a day.

    1. Don’t underestimate the power of prayer.

    Pray to God to replace your heart with one that is necessary to reach your destiny. You can never ignore the power of prayer.

    Spend time to meditating on bible verses; you can start with the ones below:

    Hebrews 11:1-3 – Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

    2 Timothy 1:7 – For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

    Joshua 1 – 9 – Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
