In the history of rap, one of the most iconic and successful entrepreneurs is Percy Miller, better known as Master P. Famous for founding No Limit Records in 1991, he sold over 75 million albums. But his success extends far beyond music. Master P has generated hundreds of millions of dollars through various ventures, including movies, apparel, real estate, cereal, Rap Snacks and noodles—the list goes on.
Now a born-again Christian, Master P not only shares his faith openly but also the Biblical principle that he credits for his success: wisdom. In his own words, “Educate yourself. Don’t work for money. Don’t pray for money—pray for wisdom. When you work, work because you love something, because it’s your purpose, and it’s your passion.”
In another interview, Master P explained how he incorporates prayer into his daily morning routine, asking God for wisdom in life and for the growth of his business. Imagine adopting this practice in your own life—praying for wisdom. If God granted wisdom to King Solomon in 1 Kings 3:10-15, why wouldn’t He grant it to you too?
In fact, the Bible instructs us to ask God for wisdom to gain clarity. As James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
Master P often references God in his business talks as well, saying, “I don’t consider myself self-made; I see myself as God-made.”
