We are all told on a daily basis how we should be eating. However, many of us are still struggling to follow the numerous guidelines that we are bombarded with. Especially for those who work long hours in offices and are always eating on the move, eating healthily and getting enough exercise seems a demanding task.
It’s happened to everyone at one point or another. We go into the bathroom, turn on the shower and to our horror, all the hot water is gone, leaving us with a cold and uncomfortable experience instead of the hot and steamy shower we are accustomed to and consider the norm.
We all know that eating well has many benefits to our physical health, but we should never undervalue its importance on our mental health. The brain requires nutrients just like every other part of or body, and with the brain being so energy consuming (it uses one fifth of all of the blood pumped by the heart) it is important to eat the right food in order to keep it working properly.
