This morning, I read a scripture in the Bible that I believe can transform anyone’s life if they take its words literally. The scripture I’m referring to is Ecclesiastes 9:10: “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.” In my opinion, this verse should not just be read once but memorized because it contains the secrets to success and becoming the best version of yourself.
The truth is that what separates the greats from the mediocre in any field, be it sports, entertainment, or education—is not just what you know, but the effort you put forth. For example, successful businessmen often put in more time and effort into their enterprises than those who struggle financially, just as top-performing singers dedicate far more time to refining their skills compared to their less successful peers.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 is a powerful verse because it highlights that the true opportunity you’ve been given is not talent, money, or connections—it’s time. With time, you can acquire all the resources mentioned. For example, in today’s world, you can transform yourself from knowing nothing about coding to becoming an expert within two months by watching coding tutorial videos online.
Transforming your life starts with changing your perspective and outlook. To do this, you need to think differently, which will impact your behaviour, choices, and ultimately, your life. One effective way to achieve this is by asking yourself empowering questions that encourage you to consider how to live up to your fullest potential.
Here are some questions you should ask yourself to unlock the possibilities within you:
– What would happen if you believed you could change your life around?
– What would happen if you believed in your God-given ability?
– What would happen if you believed in all of God’s wonderful promises for your life?
– What would happen if you decided to step into your greatness?
– How would your life change if you did your very best to become successful?
– What would happen if you decided to outwork everyone?
– What would happen if you stopped blaming the government for where you are in life?
– What would happen if you stopped acting like a victim and instead became a victor?
– What would happen if you stopped listening to that voice in your head that says you won’t make it?
– What would happen if you stop playing the victim?
– What would happen if you decided to live outside your comfort zone?
– What would happen if you wanted to succeed more than you feared failure?
– How much more successful would you be if you never made excuses?
– How would your life change if you stopped focusing on your past and focused on creating a brighter future?
– What would happen if you decided to work hard every day and be patient for the results you want?
– What would happen if you decided to become a new person?
– What would happen if you decided to prove all the doubters wrong?
– What would happen if you trusted in God more than your circumstances?
– How empowered would you be if you decided to focus on your strengths and not your weaknesses?
– How would your life transform if you became your own role model?
– What would happen if you decided to look for the positive in all situations you find yourself in?
– What would happen if you turned every negative into a positive?
Hopefully, these questions will direct your mind toward reaching your potential and putting forth your best efforts.
